Do You Really Want to Feed Your Dog Beneful?

As I was checking out of BJ Warehouse, I looked look over to the other lane to see a couple with a 50 lb. bag of Beneful -- a bag of poison!!  This food is anything but balanced and nutritious.  It is loaded with carcinogens, dead/diseased animals, antifreeze and nothing but fillers. There is absolutely no nutritional value to this food.

Is It Worth It?
I understand that some people, due to financial situations, are on a budget. But, consider the cost of your pet's health and or life by buying this bottom of the barrel food. Purina is currently being sued because of all the pet's that have become ill or died from Beneful.   Please reconsider the next time you are ready to buy your dog food.

Beneful Ingredients:

The only real meat in this food is beef that is so far down in the ingredients and pure beef is 80% water and only about 15-20% real meat.  Not much meat for your pet.
Corn, wheat, gluten, soy has very little nutrition value for your pet and are high allergens.  I meet more pets now that have have allergies.  Corn is also very susceptible to molds and toxins.  Animal digest Animal digest is a chemically hydrolyzed mixture of animal by-products that is typically sprayed onto the surface of a dry kibble to improve its taste. The artificial colors in the food are for you -- it's all marketing.  Your pet doesn't know what color their food is.  Dog food should be a brown color.  Menadione is linked to liver toxicity, allergies and the abnormal break-down of red blood cells. Propylene Glycol is the cousin to antifreeze and why does your dog need sugar.  Dogs can become addicted to sugar the same as humans can.   Sugar feeds cancer.  This is a below average dog food with very little, if any, nutritional value for your pet.

Are You Really Saving Money?
In the short term you may be saving money but in the long-term at what cost to your pet.  How many pets end up with kidney disease, cancer, seizures and other health problems.  Have you ever considered it might be from the food?
Purina is currently being sued over Beneful because of all the pets becoming ill or worse, dying.  Are they really concerned about your pet's health or is it about money?

In The News:

Just because a company has been around for a very long time, doesn't mean that your pet's health is first and foremost.  If it was, would Beneful and some of their other products still be on the shelves?
